The rental agreement
These Terms & Conditions set out the rules for renting a vehicle from FYV Exotic Car Rentals — who can book, what the deposit and insurance cover, how mileage and fuel work, and what happens if plans change. Read them before you reserve.
These Terms & Conditions form a binding agreement between you ("you," "renter," or "driver") and FYV Exotic Car Rentals ("FYV," "we," "us," or "our"). They apply every time you reserve, pick up, or drive one of our vehicles, and they work together with the signed rental agreement you complete at the start of each rental.
By booking a vehicle, signing a rental agreement, or taking possession of a car, you confirm that you have read, understood, and accepted these terms. If anything here is unclear, ask us before you book — we would rather answer a question than resolve a surprise later.
Because our fleet is high-value, our driver requirements are stricter than a standard rental counter's. To rent from FYV you must:
International guests may rent with a valid license from their home country, and an International Driving Permit where required. Only drivers listed and approved on the rental agreement may operate the vehicle — letting anyone else drive is a serious breach of these terms.
A reservation is confirmed only when we have accepted it and you have received a confirmation from us. Submitting a request or a deposit does not by itself guarantee a specific vehicle until we confirm.
We work hard to deliver the exact car you reserved. If that vehicle becomes unavailable through no fault of yours — a mechanical issue or damage from a prior rental, for example — we will offer a comparable or upgraded vehicle where we can, or a full refund of amounts paid for that booking. That is the limit of our responsibility for a vehicle substitution.
Rental charges are due as set out in your booking, and a refundable security deposit is required before you take the vehicle. The deposit is held against the card on file to cover potential damage, excess mileage, fuel, tolls, tickets, or cleaning, and any unused balance is released after the vehicle is returned and inspected.
Driving an exotic vehicle carries real responsibility, and insurance is central to our terms. Depending on the vehicle and your situation, you may be required to provide proof of your own qualifying auto insurance, and/or accept the coverage options we offer at booking.
You are responsible for the vehicle during your rental. In the event of an accident, theft, or damage, you are responsible for amounts up to the applicable deductible and for any loss not covered by insurance, including diminished value and loss-of-use while the vehicle is repaired. Coverage does not apply where a loss results from prohibited use (Section 8).
In an accident: make sure everyone is safe, call emergency services if anyone is hurt, document the scene, obtain a police report, and contact us as soon as it is safe to do so. Never admit fault at the scene.
We deliver and collect vehicles at the location and time agreed in your booking — your hotel, home, or airport. At delivery, we walk through the vehicle's condition with you and document it together. Please return the vehicle at the agreed time, in the same condition, with the same fuel or charge level it left with.
Late returns disrupt the next guest's booking, so a late return beyond any grace period may incur an additional day's charge and a late fee. If you need more time, contact us before your return window — we will extend your rental where the schedule allows.
Each rental includes a daily mileage allowance, with additional miles billed at a per-mile rate disclosed at booking. This keeps pricing fair: most guests stay well within the allowance, and only those who drive long distances pay more.
Our vehicles are for your personal, lawful enjoyment on public roads. To keep every car in the fleet safe for the next guest, the following are strictly prohibited:
Prohibited use voids insurance coverage, makes you responsible for all resulting loss, and may end your rental immediately with no refund.
We deliver every car detailed, serviced, and documented. On return we inspect it against that documented condition. You are responsible for damage that occurs during your rental beyond normal wear, including interior damage, wheel and tire damage, and damage from prohibited use.
If damage is found, we will share the inspection record and an itemized estimate before charging the card on file. Excessive cleaning — such as smoking odor, pet hair, or spills — may incur a cleaning fee.
You are responsible for all tolls, parking charges, traffic or camera citations, and fines incurred during your rental. Where an authority bills us directly, we will pass the charge through to the card on file and may add a reasonable administrative fee for processing it. Settling a ticket you received is your responsibility even if it arrives after your rental ends.
Plans change, and our cancellation terms are set out in full on our Refund & Cancellation Policy. In short, cancellations made within the stated notice window are eligible for a refund of amounts paid, while cancellations closer to the rental date, or no-shows, may be subject to a fee. To change or cancel a booking, contact us as early as possible and we will do our best to accommodate you.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, FYV is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your rental or from these terms — including lost profits, lost time, or missed events. Our total liability for any claim connected to a rental will not exceed the amount you paid for that rental. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
You agree to indemnify and hold FYV, its owners, and its staff harmless from any claims, losses, damages, fines, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) that arise from your use of a vehicle, your breach of these terms, your prohibited use, or your violation of any law during the rental. This obligation survives the end of your rental.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and any dispute will be handled in the courts located there. If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest remain in full effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it.
We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above, and the version in effect at the time you book is the one that governs your rental. We encourage you to review this page before each booking so you always know the current terms.
